ELECTION 2008
Tomorrow, the nation of the free will elect a new leader. It has been a chaotic and controversial campaign for both sides. Two days before the election, a 2004 San Francisco newspaper (the least expected) leaked an audio-video of Obama saying that he will bankrupt the coal industry, a big scandal that would mean closing the major companies that support jobs in the Midwest. Then, Zeituni Onyango, Barrack Obama’s aunt was found living in Boston government housing. She is poor; is said to be living here in the US illegally because she defied an immigration judge’s deportation order. Obama denied any knowledge of his aunt’s immigration status. She also donated almost $300 to Obama’s campaign which they said they will return because Aunti Zeituni, who Obama regard so highly in his memoir, “Dreams of my Father”, is a foreign national. It is illegal for a candidate to accept campaign funds from non-US Citizens which many people think that Obama has been guilty of anyways. Obama raised a whooping $600,000,000!
I may be accused of favoring the Republican candidate, John McCain. I have issues with his policies particularly, in immigration. However, I am totally against and condemning Obama’s far left views. America is a nation of freedom and free market economy. This is the way it should be and would be. People have equal opportunity and chances; they should not be altered by trying to close down private companies and have the people work for the government for free, taxing the middle and upper class, so that these people who works for the government and not paying taxes will receive a check on the mail.
Obama is said to win in tomorrow’s election. People believe him when he says, “He will change the world!” He maybe the messiah to his followers and to those who don’t know him. But he will shake down the foundation of what America really is-a place for opportunity for everyone whose in search for a better life no matter where they come from. If he wins, I welcome it as a good and bad news. Good news because we will keep watch on him and see how he made promises and how he didn’t care to keep them. Bad news because there will be no accounting in the government for the next two-four years, with Pelosi and Reid in the Congress. America will be in deep sh*t. I can imagine that it will be a welcome news to people who hate this country.
Tomorrow will be another page in the history of the world. Will Obama “change” the world or just the color of the American President? I will bet for the later. In the meantime, I watch the spectacle.
(Obama’s granny, Madelyn Dunham succumb to cancer today, 5:00am Eastern. May God bless her soul.)
